THE AYANGBUNREN OF IKORODU HONORS CHIEF DR ROBERT BROWN AS THE ALATILEYIN OF IKORODU TOWN IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

January 29,2016 was a day of Honor embroded with culture and heritage , a day of recognition of excellence. Amidst fun-fair in faraway  North Carolina, United States Of America, the entire Ikorodu  sons and daughters, creme de la creme from Lagos State, accompanied by several other important personalities ,friends and associates from Nigeria and beyond; came together to respect the clarion call of HRH Alayeluwa, Oba Kabir Shotebi, the Ayangbunrin of Ikorodu Land, to Honor Chief Dr Robert Brown as the New Alatilehin of Ikorodu land(An  Important Chieftaincy tittle),Chief Robert is no doubt a billionaire industrialist per- excellence, with several business empires, A Philanthropist of high magnitude who has helped thousand without having any hope of getting returns, a benefactor to thousands among who is the The Royal Highness  Oba Kabir Adewale Shotebi (with due Honor Kabiyesi), who source revealed got a full scholarship  about 23 years ago to study in the United States of America through one of Dr Robert's kind gesture.

It was indeed a day well colored , the  entire city of North Carolina will live to remember as wealth, influence and affluence as well as Yoruba cultural heritage was displayed to its fullest. The New Chief, Chief Robert  Brown was full of praises for such the day the Lord has made s well as the love shown on him by the Monarch and his People. The Monarch, Oba Kabir Shotebi  in Full Royal Regalia was full of appreciation for such a befitting and well deserved honor as well as such unprecedented turn out from far and wide as he nonors  his excitement as he honors his benefactor. The memorable event which was hosted at one the most prestigious 10,000 capacity event center in the heart of the city of North Carolina where quest were hosted and catered for by one of the most leading Catering Services Companies  in the United States of America  with  several African and Intercontinental dishes accompanies with several exotic  exotic drinks for all. it was indeed a show of honor well deserved. 




Apart from Many high chief there in present, Nigerian Political Class could not claim to be too busy despite their tight usual schedule but flew in all the way to honor The Ayangburen as the Royal father bestowed a well deserved honor on Chief Doctor Robert brown (His benefactor) . Among the Nigerian Political class in  attendance  are  Hon Babajimi Benson Representing Ikorodu at  House of Represnetatives , Hon Wale Raji Reprsenting Epe Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Mrs Adenrele Ogunsanaya ( former Lagos State SSG), Hon Lanre Sanusi an aspitrant  for the Ikorodu Federal Constituency under the umbrella of APC during the last general election, The Deputy Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly Hon Taiwo Musibau Kolawole, The Majority leader Hon Agunbiade SOB and several other members of the Lagos State House of Assembly  and its leadership .

It was indeed a conglomeration of all sons and daughters of not just Ikorodu but Nigerian as a whole, most especially Yoruba Tribes from all works of life.



It should be recall that Oba Kabir Shotebi was installed as the 20th Ayangbunren of Ikorodu by Governor Raji Fashola's administration. a couple of Months back after the demise of the 19th Ayangburen, Oba Salaudeen Oyefusi on August 2, 2014.
