FROM MOTOR BOY TO SENIOR ADVOCATE OF NIGERIA . AN INTRIGUING, MOTIVATIONAL STORY OF CHIEF ADENIYI AKINTOLA, (SAN)
NIYI AKINTOLA ( SAN) |
The Notable Quote of Chief Akintola " I will rather be the head of rat than to be the tail of an Elephant" will forever leave me wondering what an epitome of integrity, some will rather prefer fame, wealth and position for integrity but not same with chief Niyi Akintola who put and end to his political carrier for justice equity and fairness and not because he does not have the opportunity to dance to the tune being played and dictated by the piper, whoever remember how he became the Speaker of Oyo State house of Assembly, how he got kidnapped and how he decided to uphold his integrity, justice and equity for personal gain will definitely know what am talking about.
I have been wondering how can a man become a SAN without going through a secondary school education? this has always remain a misery and thus arouse my curiosity. i then decided to go on a personal research with really motivation, heartfelt intriguing and touching story of Chief Niyi Akintola which should not be seen unpublished on this prestigious forum, what a story worth daily profiling and re profiling. All all needs to really take time to read about a man became a Senior Advocate of Nigerian when hope seems to have been lost but will never give up.
Chief Akintola SAN was born to the peasant farmers parent but grew up with his grand father who took up the responsibility as the father and Mama Adepate , the grand father wife at the age of one, with such a wonderful upbringing and availability of necessary things of life, what a such gifted child who finishes primary school meant for six years in four years because of double promotions as reward for his academic capability but had other side of life at the demise of the old man which put an halt to his academic pursuit for lack of sponsor, young Akintola had no choice but enroll into Mechanic workshop as his father who could not afford tuition demanded but decided to run away to become a Motor Boy at Ogunpa Ibadan .
The Legal Luminary never gave up despite being a Motor Boy after runing away from home, ofcourse we all know what a Motor Boy looks like and what they go through, they leave exactly the life a a tray dog who do not have a place of their, they are just like a nomadic who does not have a define destinations but wherever it goes. The Motor Boy Loading Job took him from Ibadan to Kaduna for an offloading job where he decided to run away to become of photographic apprentice but still never gave up. He was busy reading and preparing for exam not until he was able to pave his was in obtaining GCE result in the year 1977 and GCE A level in 1979, and wrote JMB in 1980 all in flying Colour but got frustrated to study law at first at the University of IFE. He went through thick and nail and eventually obtained a degree in Law at the University of Ibadan. haven, merry-go-round he ended up being call to Bar but could not afford the Money for Wig and Gown on his swearing in day but had to borrow from a friend. the peak of it was for a graduating student not to be able to afford to pay for a nap shot of his graduation day not to even talk of hosting friends and family. graduating Chief Adeniyi Adetola SAN as at then could not afford to pay just a snap shot in the borrowed graduating gown due to terrible hard time being experienced which prompted him to proceed for his Masters Degree with the primary aim of having graduating pictures.
And to God be the Glory Adeniyi Akitnola is happily married to Justice Boyede Adeniyi Akintola, a judge of the High Court of Oyo State.Adeniyi Akintola is also a holder of M. Sc in political science, MCArb (UK), FLCIA (UK), and FCArb. He has also over time, held the following positions: Chairman, Committee on public petitions & judiciary, Oyo state; deputy speaker, Oyo state house of assembly; member, body of benchers; member presidential review of the 1999 constitution; member national executive committee of the Nigerian Bar Association; Fellow, London court of international arbitration; member, African Bar Association, member, International Bar Association.an erudite Scholar, a distinguished legal luminary and Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
so if we expect change we must act on our hope until we have accomplished what we wanted so be inspired because NIYI AKNOTOLA O LORI MEJI ( does not have to head so you also can same story and poverty should not be an excuse, so be inspired

LIBYA INTERVENTION MY GREATEST ADMINISTRATIONS REGRET... OBAMA
Barack Obama has said the biggest mistake of his presidency was the lack of planning for the aftermath of Muammar Gaddafi’s ouster in Libya that left the country spiralling into chaos and coming under threat from violent extremists.
Reflecting on his legacy in a Fox News interview aired on Sunday, Obama said his “worst mistake” was “probably failing to plan for the day after what I think was the right thing to do in intervening in Libya”. Obama concede that the intervention did not work , the White House spokes man Josh Earnest claim that the President regret extended to what members of our coalition didn’t do”.
“The president has tried to apply this lesson in considering the use of military and other circumstances,” Earnest said.
“That asking the question about what situation will prevail and what sort of commitments from the international community will be required after that military intervention has been ordered by the commander in chief.”
In March, Obama made a searing critique of the British prime minister, David Cameron, and the former French leader, Nicolas Sarkozy, for their roles in the bombing campaign they led in Libya.
Cameron had become “distracted” and Sarkozy wanted to promote his country during the 2011 Nato-led military intervention, Obama said in an interview with The Atlantic magazine.

PROFILING A NOLLYWOOD PIONEER LIVING LEGEND, MUMMY AJAYI ZAINAB BUKKY
Mummy Bukkay Ajayi was born a christian but converted to Islam in the early eighties and chose the name Zainab. Her love for the theatre started as a young girl when her father used to take her to the cinemas. She used to tell her dad that one day she’s going to be like one of those actresses, but unfortunately he never lived to see her become an actress. When she was a very young girl, her interest for acting was so much that she used to do a cardboard sort of cinema for children, and used to charge them half a penny to come and watch.Later, the opportunity came for her to study in England. She was abroad for six years, as a Federal government scholar.
She left England and came back to Nigeria after her education in 1965 and started out working in Nigeria Television Authority(NTA) as a presentation assistant in 1966. Afterwards, she became a presenter and then a news reader. She presented a couple of children’s programmes and ‘Nigerian’s Sketches,’ a programme which was all about Nigerian culture, and Diran Ajijedidun of blessed memory was her producer. She was later transferred to Port Harcourt and later back to Lagos, and it was at that time she started her acting career. She started with the ‘Village Headmaster’ in the 70s, and she later got a role in Amaka Igwe’s ‘Checkmate.’
This living Nollywood legend has featured in so many home videos that she has lost count.Shooting of international film ‘Critical Assignment’ in South Africa, is one of the events of her life that she will never forget. It gave her an opportunity to see how it is done elsewhere, other than Nigeria, where a movie is shot in five days. One of her sons is Abounce (Olakunle Fawole), a veteran rapper. Abounce is one the founding fathers of the Nigerian Hip Hop culture. He is also a music producer and actor (a trait he got from his legendary mother, the sensational screen goddess Bukky Ajayi). Abounce has featured in films like Diamond Ring, Apostle Kasali, Cash Money among others.
Lets all Hail a legend, lets all hail Mama, Lets all Hail a Nollywood leaving legend and Lets all Hail Mummy Ajayi Zainad Bukky. May you continue to living long in good and resounding health Maam

HE WHO PELT ONE WITH STONE MUST BE READY FOR ROCK IN RETURN.TALE OF BUKOLA SARAKI
Its axiomatic that no evil done against fellow human being, will go unrevenged, if not by man then by God, if not now, then in the future- Dele Giwa. This is an apt description of what is playing out now in my dear Country Nigeria. Some times ago, I read an interview where former President Olusegun Obasanjo ascertained the role played by yet to vacate Sen. president,in blowing the stealing saga of Iyabo Obasanjo and PS Mrs. Longe in the ministry of health! Not only that, Sen. Saraki, was the after dinner chairman in the removal of Erastus Akingbola from Intercontinental Bank while his stooge was imposed by Lamido Sanusi in the Bank! Mrs Ibru was jailed and other defaulters were penalised by CBN Gov,because Lamidos mother came from Ilorin and Dr Olusola Saraki nominated him for CBN Governorship appointment! This gentleman sold dommy to APC & PDP,became the Senate President! He single handedly uptured the songs of hard earned victory over PDP! It been said that anybody that pelt one with stone must be ready for rock in return. I submit.

NIGERIA IN DIASPORA MEETING OR TALES BY MOONLIGHT.. JUSTIFICATION OF GOVERNOR AYODELE FAYOSE CRITICISM
Wasting Precious Time with a teenager all in the name of Nigeria in Diaspora; |
One would have expected President Buhari to actually meet with with Nigerians in Diaspora and not just a family of one who has the opportunity and well wither to host the President Perhaps the Uncle to Abiki Dabiri, What an absurdity when the President would have really met with Nigerians but decided to turn a supposed serious meeting into a comic relief where the President decided to have a tales by moonlight like section with the daughter of the host after taken a full bowl of Tuwo and a bottle of Kunu. no wonder Governor Fayose will always be on his case.
I was surprised to see this high level of stupidity and gross insanity being celebrated on social media. should this really be celebrated when the President and supposed SSA on diaspora matter led emissaries are meant to really get serious by organizing and meeting Nigerians across the fifty States of the United State of America, I am not saying this teenager does not have the right to engage the President in a polemics, but this can only come when the President and Abike Dabiri led emissary must have done what is expected of them .
I think the SSA on diaspora really needs to get an oxford dictionary for the word diaspora and even go further to study more on the expectation and the responsibilities attached to such prestigious office, Diaspora issues is not all about lodging the President in an uncle mansion and turn the whole thing to a tales by moon light like, Diaspora issues should not be taken for a child's play, i would have held my calm if the President was in the United State for vacation, he is supposed to be here for serious business. i think is high time Abike Dabiri is either relief of her office or be asked to seat tight except she is out there to see the President fail, instead of assembling Nigerians from all works of lifes to discuss burning issues, the President is being lodged and being seen and paraded by one family all in the name of representation of Nigerians in diaspora, what an absurdity.
Who exactly are these Political Opportunist parading themselves as representations of Nigerians in diaspora, there are ten thousand and one Nigerians who have got a lot better to offer but will not be given the opportunity nor the audience simply becausethey do not know either Abike Dabiri or Kwara State Governor Abdul Lateef. Nigerians home are sick and tired of the continuous stupidity of the present administration, Nigerians voted for chnage but the change seems not coming but will definitely come only if the likes of Abike Dabiri begins to take their responsibility really seriously.
Little wonders that Governor Fayose of Ekiti State is always on the President case as he is being surrounded by crops of elements who do not know their right from left in terms of what is expected of them. I have always wonder when people says the president lack all iota of economical and leadership no how but will stop wondering now that i have realized the crop of element like Abike Dabiri and co. no wonder he could not make any land mark as the Chairman house committee on diaspora. Isn't Governor Ayodele Fayose right when he mentioned that the President do not understand anything being discussed and Washington ofcourse if not, he wouldn't have been wasting time with just one family out of one million and one distinguished Nigerians and even have time to seat with the teenager after taken a bowl of TUWO and five gallons of KUNU.

ABIKE DABIRI MAY HAVE PARADED HER UNCLES FAMILY AS THE ONLY NIGERIANS IN DIASPORA TO PRESIDENT BUHARI. WHAT AN ABSURDITY
Is is really sad to read on the news that President Buhari meet with distinguished Nigerians in Diaspora with such a family picture that just have the well wither and opportunity to host the President in their living room. I think is high time Abike Dabiri should be more educated with the responsibility attached to her office. does these picture shows the true representations of Nigerians living in the United State of America? We have ten thousand and one distinguished Nigerians and over one million registered and organised APC chapters in the United State i so much believe Dabiri should and the ranks and files in the Party should be more concerned about bringing together to form a United font. I will not be surprise at Abike Dabiri ways and manner as i so much believe that nothing good can come out of the Egypt of a woman who served as the chairman committee on diaspora but has nothing and nothing to show for it. How a family of one be a representation of Nigerians in diaspora simply because such family has a big house to host the President? Nigerians in diaspora goes along way far above hosting the President, Nigerians in diaspora goes beyond those leaving in New York City or Washington DC it goes beyond parading just one family, there is 50 states in the United States and several states in Canada, Europe and Asia even African Countries, all these are members of Diaspora Nigerians, Diaspora should not be the activities and dictates of the few. i have seen States like Texas , Kansas and several others play a prominent roles before and after election compare to mere Noise makers from New York where some individuals who can not boast of 20 standing members want to lord over everyone all states in the States. this should be said loud to all Big mouth self acclaimed APC leaders in New York and its environment. there are lot of distinguished and serious minded people all over the states of United State, Canada , Europe an so on who are not mere political appointment desperados like we have in New York, New and its environments,it should be noted equivocally that not until a well organised convention where all the 50 states in the United Sates are ably represented, with a unanimously agreed leaders, whoever is going out there parading themselves and member of their family as APC whatever are just ding so at their own peril as some state has vowed never to subject its autonomous to the so called moribund self acclaimed leaders emanating from crops of family and friend from New York or Washington DC,
L-R: Governor of Kwara State Abdulfatah Ahmed, Governor of Bauchi Barr. Mohammed Abubakar, Dr Yemi Badero, Dr Nwadiuto Esiobu, President Muhammadu Buhari, Zuriel Oduwole, Prof. Austin Esogbue and Hon. Abike Dabiri Erewa
Taken out the Presidential entourage, we then have one man, the wife and the little daughter as the representatives of all Nigerians in diaspora.
Isn't this ABSURD?
