A Lady from South Africa has cried out she was recruited by a Pastor of her church for three months to lie that she was healed by the pastor. The 38-year old woman said she is afraid that God will punish her for her sins, the reason for which she has now confessed. According to Margaret Hiatshwayo, she went looking for a job in Johannesburg, South Africa and was offered one by the church, which said she would be paid R500 (less than 20 dollars) weekly.“I didn’t know what kind of job it was,” she said. It was when she started, she explained, that she was told she had to lie to get paid.
“I was told I must lie and act holy in a way and pretend I was healed. I had to testify to living a horrible life before,” she said, adding that she knew it was wrong but had to keep lying for the money. She said she had been jobless for long, but got a job after the pastor prayed for her. “But I have not had a job for the past four years. My only job was telling lies,” she told dailysun.co.za self-deprecatingly. There were other liars in the church.
