Pandemonium continues on the Campus of Obafemi Awolowo University as the Member of the institution Chapter of ASUU were seen protesting against the appointment of the New VC of the Universality, the group allege their Chairman Dr Caleb Aborisade of perverted and misrepresentation of the Union in the appointment of Prof Ayobami Taofeek Salami as the Vice Chancellor.
It wa reported that the SSANU and NASSU of the same institution has came up with similar protest against the circumstance surrounding the emergence of he controversial New VC. The Former VC Prof Tale Omole is accused of fraudulently planting the new VC as means of cover up for his gross financial misappropriation and corruption.
Meanwhile Prof Adegbola Peter Akinola of Mathematics department has debunked the ASUU Chairman Dr Caleb who claimed ASUU support for the VC appointment. Akinola who was accompanied by other member of ASUU claim that it was not correct that ASUU supported the fraudulent appointment which was gear toward only n the emergence Salami Fraudulently
Prof Akinola Claim that the process was fraudulent and not free and fair. he describe it as a desperate attempt of the outgoing VC (Tale Omole) to cover up for his gross Financial Miss-Conduct so as not to be consume by the anti corruption atmosphere in country.
The group vow never to relent until justice is done and the ills get corrected, the believe things should not be fraudulent as usual,
