Legendary New York City DJ, Big Kap, has reportedly passed away. A staple in the city’s hip-hop community, Kap, born Keith Carter, was 45 at the time of his death on Wednesday (Feb. 3). Instrumental in the launching of the careers of acts such as The Notorious B.I.G., Kap was a member of The Flip Squad a collective that consisted of Funkmaster Flex, Mister Cee and host of East Coast rappers.

DJ Kap’s most notable project to date is his 1999 album The Tunnel with Funkmaster Flex. Featuring verses from Nas, Jay Z, Eminem, Dr. Dre, as well as posthumous contributions from B.I.G. and Tupac, The Tunnel moved nearly 100,000 units in its first week of release, debuting at No. 35 on the Billboard chart. Kap also gained viral fame over a decade later, when a video of The Notorious B.I.G. at the 1995 Summer Jam concert made its rounds online. Unfortunately for Kap, he felt the rapper’s wrath after slipping up on the turntables:

TED CRUZ STOLE IOWA CAUCUS PRIMARIES AND LET THERE BE A RE-RUN.- DOALD TRUMP BLOWS HOT

Donald Trump's speech Monday night in Iowa after his surprising loss in the caucuses was perhaps most noteworthy for its graciousness. 

"I want to congratulate Ted, and I want to congratulate all of the incredible candidates," Trump told supporters in West Des Moines, saying he was "honored" to finish second.

Was this the beginning of a kinder, gentler Trump? Well.....

"Ted Cruz didn't win Iowa, he stole it," Trump tweeted Wednesday morning in the opening salvo of a series of tweets eviscerating Cruz.

Needless to say, holding the Iowa caucuses for a second time seems rather unlikely, but these latest broadsides should only intensify the increasingly contentious battle between Trump and Cruz.

ANOTHER BRISOW HELICOPTER CRASH. ELEVEN PEOPLE CHEATED DEATH

Exactly five months after another helicopter crash in Lagos claimed the lives of six people.In August 2015, a Bristow Helicopter with 12 people on board had crashed into the Lagos Lagoon, killing six people including the pilot and co-pilot.

Eleven People has cheated death when they survived another Bristow helicopter that crashed around Muritalah Muhammed International Airport. The crash has been confirmed by the Public Relations Officer, South-West National Emergency Management Agency, Ibrahim Farinloye.

"Bristow Helicopters (Nigeria) Limited, confirmed today that one of its helicopters, was involved in a water landing near Lagos at about 10.25 a.m. local time on return from an offshore platform,” a press release from the aircraft company confirmed “The aircraft, a Sikorsky S-76C++, had departed on a routine crew transfer flight offshore with nine passengers and a crew of two.

“All persons on board are accounted for and in the process of being transferred to a nearby installation. The company is in the process of collecting pertinent information and will release more details as soon as it is available.”

LADY LAWYER KILLED HUSBAND READY BAAAAD

According to Helen Event blog, The niece of the deceased this morning says"My uncle and his wife are based in Ibadan, and we are based in lag.  I was in my office yesterday morning when my boss received a call from my uncle's  personal assistant that lowo has been rushed to the hospital. I immediately alerted my mum since my dad, lowo's elder brother is out of the country.  My mum rushed down from her office to my office and went directly to Ibadan with my boss to see lowo's state. Of course he died less than 15 minutes he was rushed to the hospital.  From what the landlord that took lowo to the hospital said,  lowo and his wife had a little argument btw the hours of 10pm- 11pm over the issue of going for an official assignment in Germany and France in 2 days time with my boss and finance manager of my company. The tickets has already been purchased.  The wife told the husband not to go and there was argument.  She stabbed lowo on the shoulders and the neighbours intervened.  The dispute was resolved amicably. Lowo even took some pictures to send to his business partners 

in Denmark. Lowo went to a near by  hospital to get treated then went back home to sleep. She stabbed him while he was sleeping. Police claimed she's under arrest, but my mum saw her sitted at the reception unguarded. Police were just loitering the hospital environment, but no physical arrest was made. We want justice. She's a lawyer,  yet she took the law into her hands. Her licenced must be revoked. She must pay for her crimes. She would have divorced him instead of killing him if she was tired of the marriage. Plus this Feb will mark their 3rd year marriage anniversary.  The couple do not have kids".

Contrary to what may seem like an outgoing personality and her provocative style of dressing which usually generates so much controversy on social media, Ghallywood popular actors Moesha Boudong of Ghallywood has told Showbiz that in reality, she is a very shy person.

Moesha has even been called a prostitute and criticised on social media as an attention seeker due to her semi-nude pictures which surface online regularly and her style of dressing which shows off her massive curves but she says her public personality is very different from her real life person.

In an interview with Showbiz recently, Moesha said despite the criticisms and name calling, she does not care about what people say or think about her because she is only having fun and being herself.

“I am a very shy person and I don’t know why some people see me as a bad girl or an attention seeker simply because I am having fun by taking pictures. Some people even call me a prostitute but I am not. In fact, I don’t care what they say or think about me because they don’t know me,” the native of Upper West Region said.

According to Moesha, 25, who models too, although she is a shy person, she can be friendly too. “ Yes, I am a  shy person but very sociable too. I love the company of people. When I was in school, whenever there was a new comer, I was the first person to make friends with the person. I am a nice person and just want people to see me as one of their own”, she said.

Moesha who has featured in movies such as Pool Party, Bloodline, Grey Dawn, Rape Case among others, said although she has been acting for sometime now, she is not very popular in the movie industry. “ I think this is because I have not played lead roles and most of the movies I have featured in are yet to be premiered.

She however has plans of going beyond acting to produce movies soon. “I have always had the passion for acting and would like to take my movie career a notch higher.

“The system has been slow with the load shedding in the country. So instead of waiting for producers to contact me, I’m going to start producing my own movies and exhibit my talent. Then those who think I have no talents will see that I really do have” she added.

"I WELCOMED THE DECISION OF THE CHURCH LEADERSHIP WITH ABSOLUTE ACCEPTANCE" REV MBAKA

TEARS flowed uncontrollably from parishioners and members of the Adoration Ministry as fiery Enugu Catholic priest and director of the ministry, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, yesterday bowed out of Christ the King Parish, GRA, Enugu, which he presided over as parish priest for 20 years.

The entire Enugu capital city also stood still as over 30 lorries accom­panied by thousands of his adoration faithful escorted him in a motorcade to his new parish, Our Lady Parish, Emene, a suburb of the capital city.

Mbaka’s transfer became a topical issue as a section of the society saw it as a punitive measure for his recent prophecies especially that of Decem­ber 31st 2014, when he predicted that former President Goodluck Jonathan would be defeated in the 2015 elections. This has however been dismissed by the church who explained that the transfer is a routine exercise done every six years by the bishop.

But Mbaka’s transfer as a parish priest to a resident priest, where he will serve under another priest, has raised eyebrows eliciting further comments from close observers. Mbaka himself while handing over formally to his successor yesterday told those around that he was going to suffer, moving from a duplex to a room in his new parish but asked them not to worry that God has bigger plans for him.

“It is the will of God; and when the will of God either permissive or however, happens, nobody should question it. All you have today is Amen; so to the will of God Fr. Mbaka has said Amen.”

Mbaka said he welcomed the de­cision of the church leadership with absolute acceptance and obedience, stating that nobody should see him as a recalcitrant priest. He assured that the parish would not collapse due to his exit, and urged the mem­bers to treat his successor, Rev. Fr. Theodore Ozoamalu, well, and to assist him in any way he needs help and not allow him to cry.

His words: “Don’t starve him; don’t allow him to suffer; in my own time I didn’t need your help because God blessed me in my own unique way and I am happy. God will keep the parish because we have fought the good fight; I am not regretting anything and the highest gift God has given here is his Holy Spirit who assisted me up till now.”
